Subsequent month, Newport noir-punks The Nightmares will unleash their second album, Hearth In Heaven. Forward of its launch on Valentine’s Day, the sharp-dressed, Creeper-approved ghouls have simply launched the third peek at it, the large Hell Is Gonna Occur.
“It’s a music for individuals who really feel luckless in life. For individuals who really feel like life by no means goes their means,” says frontman Adam Parslow. “Hell Is Gonna Occur is about embracing the chaos in life and following the trail set for us — irrespective of how unsure. It’s about discovering magnificence in catastrophe and chasing your desires.”
The music’s video (directed by Adam) ties in with these of earlier singles Useless Roses and One thing In The Darkish, specializing in the album’s central character, Blue.
“The journey of Blue takes the viewer on a story arc that touches on 4 key components: alienation, exploration, self-love and fulfilment,” he elaborates. “These movies are set to a moody, darkish, aesthetic and tie in with the world we wished to create for the album. They have been impressed by our collective love of ’90s Cult TV Present X‑Information and ’00s movie traditional Donnie Darko.
“The identify for the album is taken from a quote from Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke — who was talking glowingly of the sound produced by the late nice guitarist Kevin ‘Geordie’ Walker,” he continues of the broader theme. “The quote actually resonated with us as a band and we felt it completely captured the temper of the brand new songs. This document explores the curiosity between the struggles of human existence on Earth, and the load of what else may be on the market within the wider universe… ”
