French synthwave artist Perturbator has revealed his plans to have his new album “Age Of Aquarius” out on October tenth by means of his newest label dwelling, Nuclear Blast. The newly shared second single from that outing, “Apocalypse Now” finds Ulver‘s Kristoffer Rygg offering lead vocal duties and lands on-line with a music video directed by David Fitt. Pertubator mastermind James Kent commented:

“‘Apocalypse Now‘ is a music concerning the systematic destruction we trigger to our personal type. It’s our incapability to get together with–and infrequently vilify–’the others.’ Thus accelerating the top of our methods of life by means of easy hubris and self validation.”

Fitt added of the video for it:

“The lyrics of ‘Apocalypse Now’ have made me marvel: what would the final struggle appear to be? A coup? A struggle of all towards all? A nuclear struggle? Perhaps. Could possibly be. However I noticed that what I’d like to do, to observe, to occur, is a struggle of world leaders towards themselves. The struggle all of them dream of, however are too cowardly to battle themselves. This may be the last word struggle, for my part. And that’s what I aimed to point out. After which we’re left questioning: what can be subsequent? What if ladies took cost? Would energy devour them too, finally? Are we doomed as a species? That’s what I’m wondering and need folks to marvel with me.”

Talking on the album itself, Kent went on to say:

“The primary half of ‘Age of Aquarius‘ is all about battle. The misanthropy and violence that lays in all of us. The second a part of the album then talks about individualism. The understanding that group-thinking results in nowhere and having your individual free will is the only most important factor we now have in life.”

He later added:

“We have now this local weather these days of individuals getting divided over every part. Each debate is two-sided, very excessive, very warlike, and individuals are very into group considering: ‘There’s this facet of the battle, and there’s this facet of the battle, and for those who’re not on my facet, you’re incorrect.’”
