“Fanzine Made Of Flesh was written in Brooklyn once I was staying at Alex Kapranos’s home in autumn 2023,” Braithwaite explains. “In my head it seems like a cross between ABBA, swervedriver and Kraftwerk although that is likely to be ludicrous. It initially has a straight vocal however we ended up vocoding it on the final day of recording. It’s fairly completely different and I’m actually pleased with the way it turned out.”
Fanzine Made Of Flesh is taken from Mogwai’s upcoming new studio album, The Dangerous Fireplace, which will likely be launched via Rock Motion on January 24 (and thru Momentary Residence Ltd. for North/South America).
