To rejoice reclaiming full possession of his again catalogue – in addition to his eightieth birthday yesterday, and his upcoming Glastonbury look – John Fogerty has introduced Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years, an album of traditional Creedence songs, re-recorded with backing from his sons Shane and Tyler Fogerty.
Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years shall be launched by Harmony on August 22. Hearken to “Up Round The Bend,” “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” and “Porterville” now:
“For many of my life I didn’t personal the songs I had written,” says Fogerty. “Getting them again adjustments every thing. Legacy is my approach of celebrating that – of enjoying these songs on my phrases, with the individuals I really like.”
