Journey needed to cancel their present in Houston, Texas, this weekend after simply 5 songs when {an electrical} hearth broke out beneath the stage space.
The band had been performing on the RodeoHouston occasion at NRG Stadium and had simply began taking part in their large hit Do not Cease Believin’ when the sound on the venue abruptly stopped.
Because the band left the stage, employees with hearth extinguishers rushed to the drum riser. An announcement was made shortly after, telling followers the band wouldn’t return as {an electrical} hearth had broken gear.
Drummer Deen Castronovo wrote in a social media submit that he had a fortunate escape.
Castronovo says: “Hey, Houston. An act of God tonight. Hearth broke out beneath the stage – proper beneath my drum riser!
“I used to be actually on hearth for 4 ½ songs, all the facility cables melted, and the present was a bust! That does not imply we can’t be again quickly, as a result of we love you all – and we are going to return. God bless you all!”
Organisers RodeoHouston later shared an announcement saying followers would hear from them quickly about refunds or a rescheduling of the present.

There have been no experiences of any accidents because of the hearth.
