Forbidden Return with Their First New Tune in 15 Years, “Divided By Zero”

-

Thrash metallic heroes Forbidden are again with their first piece of recent music in 15 years. The final album we had from Forbidden was in 2010. Which is loopy to suppose was virtually twenty years in the past. What a strategy to make you’re feeling tremendous outdated.

Nonetheless, they did drop an experimental techno EP titled Unbalanced in 2023, which nobody noticed coming. Quick ahead to right now, and the group are headed again to their roots. “Divided By Zero” is their brand-new monitor and is shared alongside an fascinating video.

Talking about their new launch, Forbidden mentioned:

“The opening riff for “Divided By Zero’ was the very first thing Craig [Locicero] delivered to the desk as a brand new Forbidden tune. The lyrics tackle the erosion of civility and society via divisive management of establishments, cultures, faith, and authorities. With out selecting sides, ‘Divided By Zero’ factors to anybody and everybody that partakes on this mass manipulation, willingly or unwittingly.

“The video for “Divided By Zero” is the stuff of dystopian nightmares, depicting how influential phrases and propaganda of the few have [the] energy to sway the various. ‘Robots and monsters — how most of us unwittingly find yourself being one or the opposite via the a number of establishments’ relentless brainwashing and beating us down. All the disturbing imagery, created by Ethan Renoe at Crumb Hill, visually captures the story completely, haunting, highly effective, and poignant.”

Although it’s with a heavy coronary heart to say, that Forbidden are falling troopers to the AI realm, because the official music video for “Divided By Zero” is totally AI-generated. Which, if you happen to ask me, truthfully sucks. Particularly as your first comeback after 15 years. However hey, nobody requested me. I’ll fortunately give credit score to the video director, Chris Kontos and George Anderson for the official edits.
