Charleston, West Virginia steel veterans BYZANTINE are happy to unveil their video for “Harbinger.” The monitor comes off the band’s newest full-length, Harbingers, launched final June through Metallic Blade Information.
Affords vocalist Chris Ojeda on the cease movement clip, “This video has taken months to curate. We wished to proceed our path of handmade unique paintings for this new album. My daughter Mallory and I wrote the script for the story, employed a younger Claymation artist from Mexico named Adrian Venti handy construct each scene out of clay and introduced Holly Grayson with Screaming Butterfly Leisure (Justinian Code, The Cicada Tree, The Agonies) to edit all of the footage to make this stunning music video a couple of boy who, after shedding his father, searches for his significance in life, solely to be lured in by a voracious Wolf who steers the boy down a path of greed and selfishness. The boy is finally saved by one random act of kindness in direction of a lone Raven. Ravens always remember.

“Mallory and I are followers of all issues cease movement. Motion pictures like Implausible Mr. Fox, Coraline, James And The Big Peach, and music movies from Peter Gabriel, Bjork, Instrument, and Primus. We modelled the primary character after my six-year-old son, Henry. I hope you guys get pleasure from this labor of affection and admire the quantity of labor and symbolism that has gone into the script, the Claymation, and the good modifying. Our crew determined to push the artistic facet so far as we are able to and inform this story of a boy who simply needs to be necessary.“

Produced by Peter Wichers (Soilwork, All That Stays, Nevermore), BYZANTINE‘s Harbingers full-length delivers 9 tracks totaling forty-five minutes of deep lyrical knowledge alongside equally hefty riffs delivered seamlessly by one of the commanding and unsung lineups to emerge from the New Wave Of American Heavy Metallic motion of the early-2000s. Now a five-piece for the primary time ever that includes founding frontman Chris “OJ” Ojeda, alongside former guitarist Tony Rohrbough, bassist Ryan Postlethwait, veteran guitarist Brian Henderson, and drummer Matt Bowles, with Harbingers, BYZANTINE is a crown jewel of their spectacular seven-album discography.
The album cowl, designed by mixed-media artist Ashley Hoey, superbly depicts Irene of Athens – the mom of Emperor Constantine and the primary feminine empress of the Byzantine Empire.
