Anthrax gave us the pleasure of asserting they’re really engaged on a brand new report, and that it’s allegedly supposed to return out someday on the finish of the 12 months. However all that discuss was months in the past, and it appears they’ve been taking pictures the shit or doing a little goddamn nonsense that prompted them to place the recording on pause for a bit. However, huzzah! In accordance with Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, recording is about to renew this coming week.
He shared this pleasant information about their long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s For All Kings in a put up about their live performance in Lima, Peru, over the weekend:
“I’ve been getting lots of ‘when the brand new album?’ We received’t launch a brand new album till [Tower Records] is again in enterprise, fuck this streaming shit!
“Joking- Again to recording subsequent week. We threw out a bunch of outdated tunes and made some new ones that destroy the older ones.
“I do know it’s been some time and also you’ve been very affected person… it’s within the oven and cooking.”
Final month, the band’s singer Joey Belladonna gave us his personal little replace about how the recording periods had been going: “We’ve got 9 or ten songs — I forgot; I misplaced rely — however I’ve acquired perhaps two or three extra to go, after which we’ll be finished with the report. I’m nonetheless engaged on it. I haven’t completed it but.”
