The Alice Cooper Band are reuniting for a brand new album, their first collectively since 1973’s Muscle of Love. The album, which can arrive by way of earMusic on July 25, is produced by Bob Ezrin, who labored on the band’s basic early 70s albums Love It to Demise, Killer, College’s Out and Billion Greenback Infants.
“It was very very like this was our subsequent album after Muscle of Love. identical to, ‘OK, that is the following album,’” Cooper tells Billboard. “Isn’t that humorous after 50 years? Impulsively it simply falls into place.”
Becoming a member of Cooper on the album are authentic members guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway and drummer Neil Smith, plus Nashville guitarist Gyasi Hues, whereas the presence of guitarist Glen Buxton – who died in 1997 – could be felt on What Occurred to You, which includes a riff from an outdated Dunaway/Buxton demo, and on a remix of Return Of The Spiders, from 1971’s Straightforward Motion, which seems on the deluxe version of the brand new album.
“None of them has modified a lot as an individual,” says Ezrin. “Clearly everybody’s older and extra mature and extra settled, however once we all get collectively and I watch the interaction between them, it’s like they only walked out of highschool and have been hanging out within the native cafe. They simply revert to kind. They revert to who they have been as children when the primary bought collectively… and make music collectively like they did 50-some years in the past.”
