There are many love songs out on this planet, and that is a part of the rationale why Moist Leg‘s Rhian Teasdale did not really feel like she wanted so as to add her personal to the pile. A minimum of, not till she discovered love herself.
“Love by no means involves you whenever you’re in search of it,” she says. “It is at all times whenever you least anticipate it.”
In in the present day’s session, Teasdale joins us to speak about writing love songs for Moist Leg’s new album, moisturizer. It is the English band’s follow-up to their self-titled debut album, which turned a shock breakout hit in 2022.
This time round, they’ve expanded. It isn’t simply Teasdale and her co-founder, Hester Chambers. There’s an entire band within the image. Teasdale talks about how writing as a band and chopping their enamel on the competition circuit primed them for moisturizer.
Plus, she gushes over one in all her extra unconventional inspirations: English tv presenter Davina McCall.
“She was type of synonymous with the present,” Teasdale says. “With out Davina, there was no Huge Brother.”
